EYE HEALTH AND GADGETS – TIPS TO MAINTAIN VISION QUALITY
Generally everyone equates exercise with fitness. The more workout, the fitter you. This created the market for fitness institutions, instructors, apps, performance enhancing products etc.
Ayurveda has quite a different thought on exercises Or any kind of physical exertion.
Here are 5 things Ayurveda says about exercises that are quite unique from general perception.
1. Exercises are not for everyone
Ayurveda does not recommend exercises for everyone like children, elderly, people who have indigestion and those who suffer from Vata & Pitta disorders like arthritis, inflammations, acidity, weakness etc. In fact according to Ayurveda, do exercise if you are quite strong only.
2. There is a limit to daily exercise
Exercise should not deplete your whole energy. It should at most consume half of your energy so that you can carry on with your activities normally. In short, after exercising, you should not feel too exhausted that you want to lie down.
3. Exercises are not for every season
Ayurveda suggests Winter and Spring as the best seasons to work out. In all the other seasons, limit exercise to even lesser quantities.
4. There is a diet associated with exercise
Ayurveda is very particular about the kind of food you should have if you workout. It should be rich, nutritious and unctuous in nature.
5. There are few ill effects to excessive exercises
If you exert yourself too much, there are few things to worry about. Excessive thirst, weakness, palpitations, breathing difficulty, cough, tiredness etc.
Even with all these suggestions, Ayurveda still says that exercises are the best way to get a beautiful and strong body. But doing exercise without caution is like fighting with a wild beast which is surely destructive in the long run.
